Sena Suswam (still 10 years old) played in the 12 and under United States Tennis Association (USTA) Alabama State Qualifying event starting on Friday, 5/30/08, through Sunday, 6/1/08, in Montgomery, Alabama. This event had the best players in the state of Alabama and there were 31 other players in Sena's draw. Sena won 2 of the 3 matches she played in the main draw and was able to go to the quarter final round. She also played in the consolation event and was able to win 1 of 2 matches that advanced her to the semi-final round. Pictured on the left is Sena and on the right is Sena's brother, Samuel, and to her left is her mother, Dr. Esther Suswam. Congratulations to Sena in playing in her first state qualifying event!!
